First published in 1895, the original edition of this fascinating account of Jamaican folk magic is virtually impossible to obtain. This, the first complete reprint contains additional material by Ewen, other related contemporary material, and also includes essays by Christopher Josliffe written specifically for this edition that explore the life and work of the author, and its influence.
