A series of ten letters relating to the ancient deities of Mesopotamia, including Marduk, Ishtar, Nebo, Sin, etc. The first seven relate to the gods and their development, the remaining three being concerned with knowledge of creation and their responsibility towards the worlds. Spine and corresponding edges of covers faded, lower edges slightly worn with minor creasing, occasional foxing to lower margins, text clean and tight. Scarce. Good + £20

Also includes copious explanatory notes and an appendix on the esoteric symbolism present in the title page of Dee’s General and Rare Memorials. Light creasing to top edge of front wrapper. Includes material on alchemy, astrology, mathematics, philosophy, and of course, magic; all with extensive notes and a comprehensive bibliography. A few trivial marks to covers, minor spots to bottom edge of text block, contents clean and tight. Scarce. Near fine £35
