It is a monumental study of its history, doctrines and chief exponents, showing its relation to alchemy, magic, astrology and the tarot. The work was afforded rare praise by Gershom Scholoem, and remains the most scholarly work on the Kabbalah by a Gentile. Some minor spotting to edge of text block, contents clean and tight.
