The Philosophical Writings of Solomon ben Yehudah Ibn Gebrion or Avicebron, 1888, Wizards Bookshelf 1988, 8vo, patterned grey faux leather, 8 + 24 + 500pp, with a frontispiece, full page diagram of the tree of life, and other diagrams and illustrations in the text. A highly original series of speculations and comments on the Zohar and other Kabbalistic texts that was far ahead of its time. A nice, all be it reduced in format facsimile of the original edition, with the tree of life plate printed on the front paste down. This “100 th anniversary” issue also includes H.P Blavatsky’s review of the book originally published in Lucifer. Myer’s work is widely referenced in Blavatsky’s Secret Doctrine.
