No date, circa 1890s, Cr8vo, blind decorated green cloth with floral design to front board (giving title as Culpepper’s British Herbal), 430pp including indices + a coloured frontispiece and 12 further coloured plates. The most well known of all the British herbals, and still of great value today. Note: The plates are complete as called for, but not in the positions given in the plate index. Spine ends and corners worn, cloth patchily faded, spine darkened. Some occasional foxing of text, also affecting one plate and margins to a couple of others, end papers browned. Good £12
