This pioneering study was later expanded by both the author and his son, which resulted in a multi volume work which has become the standard work on Ayurveda or traditional Indian medicine. A few minor marks to boards, very light bumping to corners, slight creasing to spine ends, light foxing to end papers and a couple of leaves, tiny chips to a few early margins, light spotting to edges of text block, minor spots to the odd margin, text tight and largely clean throughout, a near very good copy of a scarce early issue with additional material over the first printing £45
